Every person’s skin type is different. Sun exposure, environmental influences or even genetic disposition, all can lead to unwanted pigmentation over the course of a lifetime. Pigmentation might occur on the face, the body, the hands or the feet.
Remove them quick, easily and gently with a laser treatment at the PKLP – Center for Aesthetic Surgery.
The laser light destroys the pigment. We are using a q-switched 532nm laser that offers the required wavelength for pigment removal. Afterwards, the destroyed tissue is removed through the lymphatic vessels.
Before the brown spots vanish completely, they will get darker, since they surface, and are then ingested by the body’s scavenger cells.
The energy penetrates the skin and, usually, does not damage it. While passing the skin, the laser radiates heat, which in turn can hurt the skin. That is why it is important to cool the treated skin very well afterwards. This will soothe the treated area effectively.
The treatment is almost pain-free and lasts less than half an hour.
Right after the treatment you will be able to go about your business as usual.
As a rule, several laser sessions are necessary to obtain satisfactory results. You should schedule in several weeks between the treatments.
In the first few days after the treatment, it is important that you do not sunbathe or expose yourself to too much cold as this might lead to burns or frostbite.
After the treatment you might experience light redness within the first 48 hours: easily treatable with cooling pads.
We recommend Environ for aftercare. It protects the skin from hot and cold and is suitable for any skin type. Environ can be relied upon by younger people too.
